| History | The church in Akurdi (Chinchwad) was consecrated by Cardinal Cleemis in 2009 Feb 26 under the leadership of Fr. Benedict OIC, with a small community of 27 families. At present the parish has a church building and a community hall. Though some families moved out due to transfers, few more joined later. At present, Rev. Fr. Zacharias is the parish priest. Though the number are 28 at present, they are very active in youth ministry, Mathrusangham and other leadership roles of the Church. |
