| History | The history of Malad church dates back to early 80s. The parish activities were started in the form of prayer gatherings under the leadership of Mr.K.Simson in Holy Angels’ high school Malad. Fr. Ignatius Thangalathil OIC was the first priest to celebrate Holy Qurbono in July 1990. The efforts of Fr. John Berchmans OIC has realised the establishment of St. Mary’s Church, Malwani, Malad. The first vicar was Fr. Geevarghese Palavilayil OIC. The Malad community celebrated its silver jubilee in 2015. Initially there were 11 families and at present 16 families constitute the parish. |
