| History |
The community of vasai was formed on 31st august 1991 under the leadership of Fr. Berchmans. The unit was started with holy Qurbana in the house of Mr.K.VBabu, Vasai. In the beginning there were only eight families. The efforts made by Fr. John Palavilayil OIC, Fr. Mathew Joel OIC for purchasing the land and for constructing the present church, are praiseworthy. The church was blessed on Feb 19th 2006 by His Excellency, Bishop Yoohanon Mar Chrysostum. At present there are about sixty four families. |
